The discomfort in my leg has almost faded, but I’m still holding off on running to play it safe and avoid any setbacks. Today’s cross-training session was on the rowing machine, and it definitely got my heart rate up!
I went for 30 minutes total, taking short rests so I could push harder-turning it into an almost interval-style workout. I didn’t track every detail, but it went something like this: 5 minutes of hard effort followed by a 1-minute rest, repeated throughout. This session stood in for what would have been a 7-mile run.
Cross-training is definitely waking up some muscles I haven’t used in a while! Hopefully, all this pays off once I’m back to running.
