Day Forty Five…rest day it is!

As I mentioned yesterday, today would normally be a short run, but with time constraints, it turned into a much-needed rest day – giving my legs a little extra time to recover. But “rest” doesn’t mean doing absolutely nothing! I still stayed active, racking up nearly 15,000 steps, thanks to walking to and from the football match.

Walking plays a crucial role in marathon training, especially for recovery. It keeps the legs moving, promotes blood flow, and helps prevent stiffness without adding extra strain. So while today wasn’t about pushing the pace, those easy miles on foot were a perfect way to stay active while still letting my body heal.
