Got back to a medium run today, feeling optimistic from the start. The discomfort in my leg is still there but easing up with each passing day. Because of my schedule, I had to fit this one in before work – something I actually prefer, though it rarely works out that way.
The run itself felt smooth and comfortable, keeping a pace similar to Friday’s. It finally felt like I was settling into a good rhythm.
Later in the day, I was at the football, and in the excitement of a last-minute winner, the injury flared up again. By the time I was walking back to the car, the pain had worsened. Unfortunately, I have a feeling this means an extended break from running, but tomorrow will tell me more.
12.87km (8miles) in 1:09:35 on the treadmill.
