After yesterday’s unplanned rest day, the soreness had eased, and I was ready to get back on the bike! I knocked out 20km in 40 minutes on the static bike, focusing on keeping my heart rate in the same range as it would be during a run. I’ll admit, I find exercise bike sessions tough – mostly because of that uncomfortable seat – but I pushed through and felt so much better afterwards. It’s been just over a week since my leg injury, and I’m now pain-free, but I’ll stick with cross-training for the rest of the week. If all goes well, I’ll start fresh on Monday – assuming the pain stays away!

“But he’s in no condition to ride. I don’t think he could even sit in the saddle.”
