Once again, I set off too fast on this run and found myself pushed to my absolute limit by the end.
While I’m thrilled with my time—it’s the fastest 5km I’ve run in ages—this was supposed to be a recovery run, not a personal best attempt!
Recovery runs are crucial because they help your body rebuild and adapt without overtraining. Pushing too hard can lead to fatigue, slower progress, or even injury. Lesson learned: stick to the plan and save the all-out efforts for race day!
5km/3.1miles in 27:21 on the treadmill at 1% incline.
Todays film quote:
“Faster, man, faster! But not too fast! As much haste as possible while maintaining a tolerable level of comfort.”
