Today I returned to the treadmill, and thankfully, the nagging discomfort seems to be easing up. Although my plan called for a 10-mile run, I decided that would be unwise given my recent injury; instead, I aimed for 4 miles – a distance just a bit farther than yesterday’s, yet safe enough to avoid overexertion.
The run itself felt strong, and I maintained a good pace throughout, though I did notice a slight change in my form. It could be that I’m subconsciously compensating for my injury, as I felt some discomfort in my knee when I stepped off the treadmill. Hopefully it’s nothing to worry about but definitely something to keep an eye on.
4miles (6.4km) in 34:28 on the treadmill.
